Alexander the Great became King of Macedonia when his father Philip II was killed (336 b. C.). Alexander immediately took action and fought with his troups against Greece, Egypth and Persia. By the time he died he ruled over most of the so called civilized world. He died in 323 b.C. at the age of 33.
